DUSTLESS BLASTING

Dustless blasting is a surface preparation process that uses a mixture of water, compressed air and recycled crushed glass. The recycled glass is free of crystalline silica, a classified human lung carcinogen, making it safe for the environment and the worker and/or people around the worksite. A rust inhibitor is added to the water when blasting because many metals can “flash rust” if left exposed. This inhibitor is also environmentally friendly and will prevent rusting for up to 72 hours as long as the metal is kept dry. This system can remove virtually any coating from any surface safely.

WALNUT BLASTING

Walnut blasting is exactly how it sounds. We will use crushed up walnut shells as a media in our blast system. Walnut is one of the softer medias used without leaving a profile on the substrate.

  • Fiberglass

SODA BLASTING

Soda blasting is the use of baking soda as the media. This method has been used since the 1980s to clean the Statue of Liberty. Not only is it a durable cleaner, but it also works as a deodorizer, which makes it great for fire restorations. Baking soda blasting can also prep and clean delicate and thin surfaces.

GARNET BLASTING

Garnet is one of the harder medias and therefore is good to use on heavily rusted or corroded substrates. Like many other blasting medias, garnet is environmentally friendly. Some other benefits include the facts that it uses minimal dust and is silica-free.
